Welcome to Boldmere Junior School,
I am extremely proud and privileged to be the Head Teacher of such a happy, vibrant and dynamic school. We continually strive to stimulate and challenge the children, so they receive the very best education possible. At our school we have high expectations and the children reward us by always giving their best. We believe that Boldmere Junior School is a special place at the heart of our community. It is vital for us to develop positive and productive relationships with our children and their families, which enables us to create a friendly, safe and supportive environment for all to achieve and enjoy. We have a caring, hard working and incredibly committed team that strive to bring out the very best in our children. We are all dedicated to developing the knowledge, skills and understanding which enables children to be equipped for the future and become, contented and fulfilled young people,
Mr C Glasgow
Watch this amazing animation from Finley in Year 3. We used I can animate as part of our computing lessons.
Another good win for the school football team. We beat Whitehouse Common 2-1 in our last league game of the season. A first half goal from Thomas Kenny gave us the lead, but Whitehouse Common equalised soon after when the ball rebounded in for an own goal.
We dominated the second half, but couldn't find the winning goal. With one minute to go, the ball was hit goalwards by Joe Timmins, it looped up in the air, over the goalkeeper and into the net!
This result means we have finished second in the league to an undefeated Coppice.
Boldmere dads victorious V St. Nicks dads! Boldmere 3 St. Nicks 0. With Mr Glasgow getting on the scoresheet as well!
Sports Relief Day
Another day of dressing up at Boldmere, I do feel like Mr Ben sometimes, that is if you remember Mr Ben? Mr Ben. All for a good cause and we also ran/walked a mile each around the field. My favourite was Boris Becker in a John McEnroe wig! All pictures by Maysa, Eva, Emily and Rosie from Year 3.
Year 3 Roman Day
Year 3 had a fantastic day on Roman Day. We all dressed up and did a variety of Roman based activities. We looked at battle formations, shield formations, mosaics, Roman numerals, made Roman food and planned a Roman menu.
Do you know why the Romans used their Tortoise shield formation?
World Book Day
We had a great time dressing up on World Book Day. The children made a fantastic effort, and so did the teachers! My favourite was The Book!
